about us
So here's the quick version...
I grew up in Fremont, California (SF bay area) and after finishing chiropractic school in 1995, re-located to Sandusky, Ohio. Why? I have no idea. In fact, to this day the most common question I get is “why would you leave California to move here??” and all I can say is that it seemed like a good idea at the time. Actually, if you’ve ever lived in CA then you know exactly why I moved across the country. To get away from Californians. The only reason I didn’t move farther away is because I would be getting too close to New York. That’s almost as bad.
I met my wife Susan the first week I was here. That’s a pretty good first week, right? We started our practice on Columbus Ave in 1996 and there we stayed until handing it off in 2018. Susan and I joined the Erie County Health Department for the next 4 years where we were able to work within the newly established detox and fulfill our goal of helping those struggling with addiction. After 4 years of working in addiction treatment we both felt the pull of private practice again and made the decision to get the band back together and reopen as the new Prentice Chiropractic & Laser.
So that gets us to today. Below is a rundown of my credentials and specialties in case you’re wondering:
